Unicorns & Unicorns celebrates its fifth year milestone of making magic with 200+ successful projects that have and will continue to open doors for underrepresented filmmakers and storytellers.
"I’m immensely proud of our team and the work we’ve produced during our five years,” shares technical creative director and co-founder Sun Komen. “While the ideas we bring to life are novel and innovative (like this brand new cutting-edge tech called 'QR codes'), our guiding principle is fundamental: everyone’s voice deserves to be heard. I look forward to boosting those voices, pushing technical creative boundaries and dusting off more old tech in the next five years."
“Starting a company like this has been a dream of mine since college,” adds EP and co-founder, Adrianne Mccurrach. “When production came to a halt in 2019, we were unsure if we’d survive but not only did we survive, we thrived. I am constantly in awe of how awesome the people are that have joined the stable, have grown within the company and have helped the company grow. This makes me the most proud – the Unicorns are the secret sauce. Stoked to create more, grow more and keep working to crack the code on expanding representation in our industry.”
U&U directorial roster features Monty Marsh, Tchaiko Omawale, Jackie Omanoff, Debbie Formoso, Bridget Moloney, Derek Westerlund and Bobbi Rich, along with newly signed directors Jake Honig and Tamar Levine.
Recent projects for U&U include a campaign for FedEx’s 'On The Move' series, which supports small businesses and consumers, directed by U&U’s most recently added director Tamar Levine.
