As families are continuing to turn to vacation rentals as a way to travel and spend quality time together, Vrbo teamed up with Fortnight Collective to create a new campaign to celebrate its hosts and spread the love of togetherness with its global community.
Centered around the themeline, 'Let’s Do Together Together', the campaign features real hosts in their actual vacation homes, making this Vrbo’s first ever host-facing broadcast campaign. This approach brings to life the care each host puts into their rental property, showing how they make it a home away from home, not just a place to stay.
The campaign will run across broadcast, digital and social platforms.
“Most of our commercial spots feature the moments of family togetherness that happen on vacation in a Vrbo. But for this campaign, we wanted to honour our amazing hosts who make those moments possible,” said Danny Parker, global creative director at Vrbo. “It was a lovely experience shooting them in their actual vacation homes, seeing firsthand how much attention they put into making each stay really special for their guests.”
In each spot, a host takes the viewer on a journey through their individual vacation home, showing off the unique attributes that make it special. Whether it happens to be in the mountains, by a lake, or at a beach, the vacation homes and hosts all come with their own story, helping bring families together, no matter where they go.
“This campaign was an opportunity to showcase how much care each Vrbo host brings to their rental homes,” said Adam Chasnow, chief creative officer, Fortnight Collective. “By putting real hosts front and center, we were able to let them tell their own stories and show what exactly makes Vrbo’s community so strong.”
