The Young Arrows has announced the winners and finalists of the 2024 awards to celebrate the best work from emerging talent in the UK moving image advertising industry. The Young Arrows presented 18 awards across a range of categories, including production, sound design, music video direction and VFX in a thrilling show in central London’s HERE at Outernet, hosted by Reggie Yates.
Now in the third year, the awards were completely free-to-enter for the first time in 2024, removing the financial barrier that often blocks emerging talent from entering. The result of the free-to-enter initiative saw entry numbers triple, versus 2023, with over four times the number of individual entrants applying in 2024, versus the previous year.

Jury co-chair, Helen Rhodes, executive creative director at BBH, commented, “We should all be elated and terrified in equal measure as the next generation of advertising superstars are coming through to delight our screens and up our games. The standard of entries was so high that I got a nosebleed.”
Jury co-chair, Chris Watling, managing director and executive producer at Somesuch added, “This exceptional level of talent and craft made for a day of judging that was incredibly inspiring, energising and hotly-debated for our brilliant, passionate jury. The new Bolt Award, launched in honour of well-known advertising production figure, Barney Richard, was awarded to Floyd, Cabin Suitcase, Elevating Every Journey Big or Small. Isabella Parish from All of Us Here, remarked: “This piece of work is a reminder that the best advertising comes as something unexpected”.
The not-for-profit Young Arrows Awards had a sparkling team of young talent curating the awards; from production to sound, social media and visuals, the latter designed entirely by recent motion designer graduate, Iain McCall-Greenfield, and supported by British Arrows’ Creative Director, Michael Lenz.
Motion design graduate, Iain McCall-Greenfield, said, “Crafting this project over the past few months has been tough but rewarding. Being able to express myself on such a grand scale has been a deeply meaningful experience. With constant support from the incredible talent behind the Arrows team, my confidence as a motion designer has soared. Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Young Arrows 2024!”
Winners of the 2023 CALM Open Brief Gareth CE, Osagie Samuel and Arnold Jorge debuted their film for the winning idea produced by Common People and supported by T&Pm, tenthree, Electric Theatre Collective, Factory and The British Arrows.
The Young Arrows Awards will return in 2025 with entries opening in May.
