W+K Tokyo's Furry Mr. Dude Inspires You to Visit Portland

Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo has launched a new campaign for Travel Portland to promote the city of Portland, Oregon. Building off of last yearʼs campaign which centred around an original Japanese theme song called ʻOdnarotoop,ʼ a blue furry mascot called the Odnaro-Dude has now opened an imaginary travel agency ʻOdnaro Travel.ʼ The Dude himself writes and designs all the content in travel brochures and on the website, using his DIY design skills and less than perfect, but charming Japanese.

The quirky travel brochure can be viewed on the Odnaro Travel website and is also being distributed in the actual travel agency offices of H.I.S. as well as other agencies and shops with ties to Portland in Tokyo and Osaka.
