Campaigns that we love from Anomaly, adam&eveDDB and T&Pm for the likes of RIMOWA, E45 and Chanel, writes LBB's Alex Reeves

RIMOWA - Engineered for Life

It's easy to covet the durable beauty of a RIMOWA suitcase, but this campaign from Anomaly doesn't rest on the laurels of an already well-loved brand and product. The sleek film highlights the emotional value that comes from owning a piece of luggage that, thanks to its lifetime guarantee, can accompany you through all of the memories you make. The aesthetic is expertly matched to the German brand's, and New Order's 'Blue Monday' provides the ideal soundtrack to the celebration of its grooved metal boxes.

Chanel - Bleu de Chanel

Fragrance ads have something of a reputation problem. And it might be justified. But when you throw Martin Scorsese and Timothée Chalamet at one, you hope it avoids all of the usual pitfalls. And after an appropriate amount of side-eye, we reckon this one does. The press release described it as "an invitation to discover the many facets of a man who is forging his own path." And whatever you think about Tim, he certainly does a good job as the subject of a big extravaganza like this.

International Paralympic Committee - The Paralympic Dream

When we saw that this sumptuous animated dreamscape was directed by Sam Gainsborough of Blinkink, we had to do a quick Google to check if he was French. Because the style is such a perfect tribute to the Olympic and Paralympic host nation's filmmaking culture. It's ridiculously adorable. Until it's not, when the film jolts us into the gritty reality of Paralympian life with its live-action second half. It's certainly got us psyched up for the occasion.

Payme - Mosaicvertising

It's fair to say that the LBB newsdesk inbox doesn't get a lot of Uzbek input, so when this appeared we were pretty stoked. We were even more stoked when we realised it's a really creative idea for a real brand that stands up for the value of public art. It's a real box ticker, this one. Hard to argue against its Work of the Week status.

E45 - This Is Me. This Is My Space.

Every year the Channel 4 Diversity in Advertising Award gives away £1 million worth of commercial advertising to a campaign that answers a particular brief to push boundaries. And every year the results are something that helps society progress. This year, T&Pm (formerly The&Partnership) worked with skincare brand E45 to celebrate the moments in which trans women perform their daily skincare routines. The film, directed by Academy Films' Sophia Ray, demonstrates the power of being in your own bathroom – a safe space to be yourself, hurt, heal and feel comfortable in your skin – in a world that can at times feel inhospitable. A gorgeous series of portraits that we hope will promote more empathy for a community who we rarely see represented in advertising.
