Hamad International Airport launches a major new campaign for the 1st anniversary of Orchard.
Hamad International Airport, Qatar, has launched a major new global campaign celebrating the first anniversary of its magnificent Orchard indoor tropical garden.
Running across digital, social and the entire Qatar Airways fleet, the hero film, conceptualized and developed by M&C Saatchi MENA and produced by Breakout Films, gives a taster of the incredible experience that awaits travelers.
Mark Blackmore, Managing Director Doha at M&C Saatchi MENA stated, “A normal airport takes you to the plane. A great airport, like HIA, experientially takes you to another level.” He continued “Through carefully crafted storytelling and visually stunning cinematography, the film captures the remarkable journey that HIA offers. From the moment the film begins, viewers are transported into a world of luxury, comfort, and unparalleled service." Khaled Aylouch, Senior Manager Marketing & Corporate Communications at Hamad International Airport said “Wellness embodies a broad quality that we sought to integrate into our marketing campaigns, serving as a distinctive element for travelers at Hamad International Airport. Collaborating with M&C Saatchi, the "ORCHARD" launch campaign adeptly visualized this quality, delivering a vivid representation of the comprehensive experience offered by our world-class travel hub.”
Orchard hosts a wide selection of world-class fashion, retail, cafes and restaurants, under a vast parabolic glass roof, with a 6,000sqm tropical garden at the centre, containing over 25,000 plants and trees.
For M&C Saatchi, travel and tourism hold a special place in their hearts. The agency's journey began with British Airways as its foundational client. Along the way, the agency has crafted iconic campaigns and built brands for countries such as the USA, New Zealand, Great Britain, Australia, Iceland, Bahrain, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Oman, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai, among others.
M&C Saatchi MENA’s evolution began in 1990 as an advertising hot-shop under the name of The Agency, which merged in 1992 with the Beirut-based BD&A group to join the Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide network.
In the decade that followed, the agency became synonymous to major brand launches, awards and the developments of post-war Lebanon.
The agency became a household name.
Acquired by Quantum Group in 2000, the agency launched its branding division, Brandcentral, and media buying company Vertical – taking its style regionally and beyond.
A decade later the agency joined the independent M&C Saatchi Worldwide network.
M&C Saatchi MENA is now a 30-year-old advertising agency renowned for its creativity, awards, social responsibility and reputation, inspired by the network’s Brutal Simplicity of Thought.
