electriclime° have linked up with Octagon to produce a new film for Standard Chartered Bank and Liverpool Football Club’s ‘Play On’ campaign in the lead up to the Women’s World Cup.
The programme is designed to encourage girls to stay in sport in order to help them learn skills like teamwork, leadership and resilience, so they can follow their dreams both on and off the field.
In a category awash with inspirational messages, this campaign manages to find a fresh and truly relatable insight about sport and football; promoting the skills we learn from sport to carry us through life.
Directed by Sydney-based filmmaker Armand De Saint-Salvy, alongside director of photography Campbell Brown, this cinematic piece strips back the fanfare to tell an emotional story about trying and triumph.
Produced by April Koh and Shahn Devendran from electriclimeº, the film was shot in Bangkok in partnership with Thai production house TAPROD, with an endearing CGI character, courtesy of Blockhead VFX, acting as a metaphor for what football and playing sport teaches young women.
The piece merges natural performances, real life experiences and emotional authenticity to connect with the audience, allowing the viewer to be immersed within the story.
