The German Chambers of Skilled Crafts "Das Handwerk" and Berlin based agency HEIMAT addresses the issue of professional fulfilment.
The new TV commercial, 'Das Handwerk 'raises the issue of professional fulfilment. Whilst leaning on the Western Genre, the commercial relates the story of a fulfilling day at work .
A craftsman takes on his opponent: a run-down old furnace, that's causing problems. It comes down to a duel. Sparks fly, oil splashes. From his tool belt he pulls out a tool like a pistol and repairs the run down old heating system. Once the work is done, he meets his colleague and drives off into the sunset - to the next heroic artisanal adventure.
Director Tore Frandsen stages the fearless craftsman as a modern cowboy, who seeks his own fulfilment by being taking pride in his own achievement. From today you can watch the commercial on wide-coverage TV and see a longer version on YouTube and Handwerk.de. With this spot, Das Handwerk highlights the central question of the image campaign: "And? What have you achieved today?"
This key question is also incorporated nationwide OOH campaign, showing craftsmen who peruse their profession with great dedication.
Stefan Koenen, Divisional Communication Manager and Coordinator of Craftsmanship Policy, is responsible for this campaign for the German Central Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH) From the agency Heimat Berlin, Creative Director Stephen Quell, Ursel Barwinski (Art Direction) as well as Meike Kornrumpf (Producer) and Sabrina Schwigon (Client Consulatant) are responsible for this campaign.
