Biometric technology is no longer reserved for the heroes of spy films like James Bond. This is the core creative idea behind this campaign, developed by Publicis Conseil for BNP Paribas to launch the first biometric bank card in France.
Since the summer of 2021, BNP Paribas has been the first bank in France to offer this technological innovation to its clients, which allows cardholders to pay for all purchases even above 50€, in a contactless and secure way, with a single touch of a fingerprint.
The campaign, borrowing all the codes of spy movies, shows the hero walking with ease in a hyper-secure facility, before being transported into real life, where he finishes a contactless payment of more than 50€, in front of a surprised cashier.
Directed by Jean-Baptiste Saurel, the film subtly brings together a cold and realistic MI6 kind of world with authentic French style humour and casualness, illustrated by a vivid character.
This campaign includes 30-second and 20-second TV versions, a 36-second cinema version and digital/social media print formats.
