Football legend accompanied by super smart pups in latest work out of Ogilvy & Mather London
HEINEKEN, the UK’s leading cider, beer and pub business, has launched a new integrated campaign with Eric Cantona and a team of ‘Alsace-tian’ dogs, launching on May 2.
 
Created by Ogilvy & Mather London, the new campaign commences with a 60-second TV execution by Kronenbourg 1664 in which the viewer is returned to the colourful world of Alsace, France. Following his star turn in #LeBigSwim last year, Cantona this time gives centre stage to a team of intrepid Kronenbourg-delivering canines, dubbed ‘The Alsace-tians’. 
 
In the spot Eric Cantona first introduces viewers to “the most intelligent dogs in the world: The Alsace-tians” – a team of highly trained dogs that deliver Kronenbourg 1664 to the deserving via the Kronenbourg-dispensing wooden barrels on their collars.

Alongside 60 second and 30 second TV executions, the campaign will also encompass a series of blipverts and a raft of original Alsace-tians content will be distributed across Kronenbourg’s social media channels - including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
 
An associated PR and experiential campaign will also see The Alsace-tians play the role of bartenders at ‘Bar D’Alsace-tian’ in central London, where they will deliver the Taste Suprême of Kronenbourg 1664 to customers at their tables - in so doing creating the world’s first bar staffed entirely by dogs.
