Teachers change the lives of their students every day. From facilitating ‘lightbulb’ moments where a child finally understands, to helping them realise their inner potential, each individual moment of ‘making a difference’ adds up to an overall sense of pride and satisfaction in teaching.
FCB Inferno has created two films for the Department for Education which condense down a range of these impactful and often poignant moments, to showcase the unequivocal, collective pride that teachers feel as a result of their job. To capture a truly authentic and inspirational view of the profession, we filmed in a real working school as it went about its normal routine.
The films show a snapshot of the rich and varied reasons why our hero teachers Grace and Samuel, along with their colleagues, are proud to teach. The pace of the films mirror the energy of the children and the school day, while the sequence of vignettes show the range of highlights and challenges that an average school day encompasses.
The campaign films featuring Grace and Samuel, which launched on 22nd January and 12th February respectively, consist of two 30" TV and VOD ads, two 30" radio ads, a digital display, press ads and six social films.
Frazer Gibney, FCB Inferno’s CEO said: “This is a really authentic portrayal of teaching as a career, and the difference teachers make to children’s lives and shaping the future of the next generation.”
Nicola Keane, Senior Manager for Teacher Recruitment Marketing says: “There are a lot of teachers who love their job and would recommend it highly because they’re proud of the difference they make to their students every day. We wanted to use these positive voices to advocate the career and create content that is inspirational, shareable, and above all, authentic.”
