How Furby Entered a New Dimension for GEICO

GEICO has a history of working with famous film and TV characters. We've previously worked with them on another campaign featuring Angry Birds, and they've also licensed Animal from The Muppets, Yogi Bear and Rocky and Bullwinkle in the past.

This time, The Martin Agency came to us with a TV script that involved showing nostalgic 90s items. The script opened with a couple sharing that their garage is a black hole that sucks in everything around it. The wife is then sucked into the garage, where she is surrounded by nostalgic items, including Furby. 

Since we represent Hasbro as their appointed licensing agents, we had the strong relationship to make this campaign happen. The project was very straightforward, and perfectly demonstrates the value Born Licensing can bring to the overall licensing experience. Our team managed the negotiations and approval process expertly, being mindful of all deadlines for the agency and working with the Rights Holders effectively to meet those deadlines. We were able to guide the process smoothly, ensuring both licensee and licensor had every step covered along the way – all without charging any clearance fees.
