Imaginary Forces Journeys Through the Multiverse for Dark Matter

Imaginary Forces embraces the enigmatic essence of the multiverse in crafting the main title for Dark Matter on Apple TV+. The cubist-inspired sequence unfolds like a puzzle, navigating through a maze of interconnected dimensions as it follows the protagonist, Jason, as he quests for connection and love.

Imaginary Forces creative director Ronnie Koff added, “The main title of Dark Matter symbolises the constantly shifting challenges that Jason faces as he journeys to return home. These obstacles and changing elements form a complex puzzle for our hero to unravel. The sequence features a continuous camera movement that takes us on a loop around a box, which is ultimately revealed at the end.”

The interlocking visuals, reminiscent of a Rubik's cube, symbolise the trial-and-error process of weaving worlds together when they collide. Incorporating warm palettes and dynamic compositions the team worked alongside author and showrunner Blake Crouch to craft a sequence that tells a story within each frame.
