Established in 1987, Epica is unique as it is the only global creative awards judged by the press, with senior editors and leading journalists from over 50 countries. An Epica award is seen as objective evidence of creative excellence as it is judged by an independent jury whose members combine the objectivity of the public with the critical gaze of expert observers of creativity and innovation.
In the Company of Huskies and Allianz Ireland won silver with "The World's Strongest Women" in the Public Interest - Gender Equity category.
Winners were announced at an online ceremony. Results can be found here.
Commenting on the win, Damian Hanley, creative director of the agency says “It means so much to receive recognition from a global jury of leading journalists who follow the business closely. The stigma surrounding domestic abuse stops one in three women from telling anyone. ‘The World’s Strongest Women’ uses the tropes of sporting communications and flips the narrative around abuse to highlight the strength it takes women to survive and speak up. The win is a tribute to our great client Allianz, partner Women’s Aid and our team at Huskies.”
