Today Expedia Group announced One Key – the most flexible loyalty programme in travel. One Key lets you earn and redeem rewards across Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo, plus enjoy member savings and benefits.
Although it is a rewards programme, One Key is more than a new take on travel rewards. It offers the perspective that a traveler is anyone who goes anywhere.
To communicate the ways in which One Key opens travel, W+K Portland has teamed up with Somesuch's Kim Gehrig to launch a creative campaign featuring films, OOH, audio, digital, social, and PR.
'The Travelers' is an anthemic launch film that shows off a whole world of travel and travellers - but without ever showing a human face. Instead, the film focuses on their luggage to tell us who they are and where they might be going. It’s an honest depiction of the highs and downs and unexpected twists of travel, which are punctuated by the familiar 'Fratelli Chase' track featured in The Goonies.
The films are directed by Kim Gehrig, who brings her signature honesty and wit to the brand. Emmanuel Lubezki, recognized for his innovative use of natural lighting, served as DP.
