LL COOL J Joins Progressive’s Cast of Characters in New Spot from Arnold

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and two-time Grammy® Award-winning Hip-Hop icon LL COOL J is joining Progressive’s Parenta-Life Coach Dr. Rick for a teachable moment: even though a hip-hop star could be standing right behind you…just act naturally.

The new commercial, "Chance Encounter," premiered during the “A GRAMMY Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop” show that aired last night (12/10) on CBS. The spot will enter the market on Jan. 1, 2024.

LL COOL J took the stage to honour Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary – a moment in time Progressive is leaning into to showcase the brand’s commitment to multicultural milestones that matter to consumers.

LL COOL J said, “The Dr. Rick commercials are classic, and I can’t help but laugh and relate to them. It was an honour to work with Progressive and join such a beloved campaign and character that resonates with so many.
