Mercado McCann, just days away from the launch in the US of its division dedicated to 'the love of Fuìtbol', became the first Latin American agency to achieve this award.
At the 2024 edition of the New York Festivals, 'Hotel La Argentina' garnered one Best of Show and one Grand Award, along with two Golds in the Branded Content/Entertainment and Activation and Engagement categories.
“Hotel La Argentina is characterised by an idea linked to soccer despite not directly referencing it in the imagery. Heartfelt stories still have a place in people's souls, and there is no technology that can surpass that," said Mercado McCann.
"We are very happy to receive this award because this agency is known for not lobbying. The only lobby we're familiar with is the one at Hotel La Argentina," they added.
During the festival, over 200 members of the Grand Jury, alongside prominent creative and executive figures, voted to select pieces from all five continents, assessing creativity, strategy, connection, and relevance to society at large.
