David Vu has teamed up with Caviar to direct CamelPhat and Nadia Ali’s latest dance track 'Endlessly'. An editorial feast, the video leans into the fast paced rhythmic balance of industrial and natural landscapes, movement and emotion.
CamelPhat are an English DJ and production duo consisting of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, most notably known for their 2017 dance hit Cola. Nadia Ali is a Pakistani-American singer songwriter who originally wrote Endlessly nearly 10yrs ago and when she got into studio with the guys earlier this year in LA, they played some unreleased instrumentals and on hearing the beat Nadia automatically started humming the melody Endlessly over it and that was the beginning of the creation of the track.
David celebrates dance and its ability to express vivid scales of emotion. The fight for love, reunion, companionship and the journey along the way. Utilising exterior and interior locations, David seamlessly flits between different dancers. The camera becomes part of the troupe through fluid angles and fast kinetic movement. The dancers choreography is amplified with the use of spotlights and strobes as they move between the dark and light of one’s emotions. All synched to the track in the edit.
David adds, “In Endlessly the fusion of dance and music take centre stage. Directing this video has been an incredible experience, showcasing how movement and choreography can amplify the narrative and emotional impact of CamplePhat and Nadia Ali’s beautiful track.”
