One Twenty Three West (123w) has partnered with Aquamar, one of the premier seafood brands who’s been driving innovation in the category for decades.
The independent Vancouver and Toronto-based shop is being tasked with repositioning and refreshing the brand as it expands both its retail/grocery products for at-home cooks and foodservice offerings.
Scot Keith, founder and CEO at 123w, says the agency is buzzing about the opportunity, “We’re thrilled to work with Aquamar. We love their disruptive mindset, especially within a category that’s due to be disrupted. There’s so much untapped potential in seafood which Aquamar is positioned to take advantage of with their different model and continual innovation. We’re very excited about the momentum that’s being created with our team’s strategic and creative thinking – and we’re ready to change how people view and eat seafood.”
Aquamar is based in the US, but they partner with global suppliers to bring North and Central American consumers and foodservice operators high-quality, sustainable seafood from regions they may otherwise not be able to access. By not being vertically integrated like most in the industry, it means Aquamar isn’t limited to what they themselves can catch. They have the flexibility to source the quality seafood from the best regions around the world, and the ability to put their entire focus on consumer interests.
“We're wildly excited to team up with 123w! The partnership is an extraordinary opportunity for us to create value for the industry and our businesses. I can't wait to see what we accomplish as a team", says Daryl Gormley, CEO at Aquamar.
With plans to grow in the Canadian, US, and Central American markets, this newly formed partnership sees a huge opportunity in front of them by revitalising this brand in 2024 and beyond.
