Planet Propaganda, the independent advertising agency based in Madison, WI and home to clients like Duluth Trading Co., Weed Man, and Musicnotes, has tapped seasoned growth and marketing executive Jules Boasberg as director, strategic growth and marketing.
Throughout his career, Jules has secured, led, and managed high-level partnerships with some of the biggest brands in the US across retail, financial services, QSR/Casual Dining, and CPG verticals. In his new position, he will lead all new business growth efforts and marketing activities for Planet.
Jules brings over 20 years of agency experience to Planet, most recently in the EVP, growth officer role at Bernstein-Rein, a role he returned to after several years as EVP, Strategic Growth at Thruline Marketing and as chief marketing and growth officer at Bradly and Montgomery. Before his first stint with Bernstein-Rein, during which he helped pitch and win clients such as Petsmart, Family Dollar, Academy Sport + Outdoors, and MetLife, Jules led marketing and new business for global PR firm Golin’s North America operation, a position he held for eight years.
“For more than two decades, I’ve harnessed the power of consumer insights, creativity, and value-based marketing to ignite brand growth, motivate teams and drive culture,” said Jules, who will report directly to Planet’s managing director, Emily Steele, in his new position. “Today, I apply those same skills with a deeper focus on data and analytical innovation connecting consumer behaviours to solve brand challenges and catapult companies to achieve success. All the while remembering, my primary role is simply, ‘making friends out of strangers.’”
