This year, the Australian non-profit suicide prevention organisation R U OK? tasked Hogarth Australia to deliver the creative concepting and production for their 2024 R U OK? Day campaign.
The 2024 campaign ‘Ask R U OK? Any Day’ theme is based on wide-ranging research from Australians of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. The campaign helps us remember that we all have the power to start a life-changing conversation on any day, at any time of the year – any time we see the signs a friend, family member, colleague or loved one might be struggling.
The film takes viewers through a cross-section of interactions and check-ins between two mates over the course of a year. Through good times and not-so-good times, we see them there for each other, offering support – sometimes consciously, and sometimes without realising. Because R U OK?Day is one day of the year, but life is every day.
‘R U OK? Any Day’ campaign is supported by cinema, TV, online video, animation, and audio – as well as social content, OOH and digital media.
Katherine Newton, CEO of R U OK? said, “A lot can happen in a year, a month, a week. Whether it’s your friend, family member, colleague, partner, or teammate, the people you care about go through life’s ups and downs every day. By checking in regularly with the people close to you, you can help prevent small things from becoming big things. We are really pleased with the creative work delivered by Hogarth Australia to help us share our important message.”
"It's been an honour and a privilege to work alongside some Australia's best – in service of an organisation and a message that truly has the power to change lives for the better. It's been an unforgettable journey, and I'm so incredibly proud of what we've all achieved." Dan Michael Jones, creative director, Hogarth.
R U Ok? Day is on the 12th September.
