DDB Spain led the creative idea for the company's first communication project with Generative AI

Repsol takes an important step towards innovation with the launch of its first personalised Christmas greeting created with artificial intelligence. This project, which marks both a technological and strategic milestone for the company, was conceived by DDB Spain, who led the creative idea, and was technically developed by SuperReal, a company part of the MIO Group, as a technological partner.

This action represents a milestone for Repsol, since it not only inaugurates Repsol’s foray into external artificial intelligence projects (which it has already developed from a more internal and industrial field), but also reinforces the company's commitment to innovation and technology. This initiative is promoted by the Communication and Brand Department together with the Generative AI Competence Centre, a pioneering centre in the European energy sector to incorporate this technology to accelerate business productivity and digitalization of all employees.

“This project symbolises the beginning of a new stage for Repsol, where generative artificial intelligence will not only be a strategic tool, but also a way to enrich our communication with users,” Repsol has highlighted.

For its part, DDB Spain has played a fundamental role, providing the creative idea and connecting technology with the human and close character that defines the company. The Christmas greeting is presented as a unique interactive experience: users can personalise the message by entering certain data in a form, and artificial intelligence generates a greeting completely adapted to those parameters and different each time.

“Our mission was to create an accessible and emotional experience, using the personalisation capacity and dynamism that AI offers, and align it with Repsol's values. This project is an example of the enormous potential that AI has to redefine the way brands connect with people,” they add from DDB.

The technological development of this action has been carried out by SuperReal, a company part of the MIO Group, which has not only guaranteed the functionality and reliability of the platform, but has also allowed the unique and scalable customisation of the initiative. Being possible thanks to the work in close collaboration with DDB Spain to materialise this pioneering digital experience.
