Spindle has announced the arrival of executive producer Adam Javes.
Adam will be overseeing commercials, originals and more, while nurturing and growing the company’s roster of progressive talent alongside fellow EPs Stitch Richardson and Mayling Wong.
Adam began his professional life working as a lawyer, before co-founding music events and promotion company, Tropico. With a love for creative talent, logistics and relationship building, he later swapped working with up-and-coming musicians for directors.
After cutting his teeth producing commercial and documentary projects around the world, Adam joined Havas to bolster their in-house production offering. He has spent the last six years at the forefront of its different iterations, from HKXP to Havas Studios to Prose on Pixels. He has produced and executive produced campaigns for brands such as Apple, Aston Martin, EE, O2, PayPal, Heinz, Hilton and many more. Most recently, Adam has spent the last 18 months in New York, helping grow Prose on Pixels’ presence in the US market, and ensuring shoot craft and sustainability sat at the centre of its offering.
Adam also has a passion for nurturing upcoming directors. Throughout his time in production he has built a reputation for creating acclaimed work with young talent. For example, his work with Rosie May Bird Smith for 'The Real Self Checkout' for ASDA x Tickled Pink picked up a range of awards, as did her short ‘Herd Immunity’.
Adam says: “The ethos of Spindle has always been clear to me: Make great work. Be kind to the people around you. Minimise your impact on the planet. These things really matter to me and Spindle put them at the forefront of their work and actions. It sounds cliche, but it’s a family. A family of exceptionally talented individuals, who I can’t wait to work alongside and usher in the next chapter of Spindle with.”
Stitch Richardson (MD / EP) says: “We’re so happy to welcome Adam to the team. He brings a lot of experience across a wide range of productions, but also a passion for developing and supporting young directors, which has always been an integral part of Spindle’s DNA. He’s a wonderful person to know and work with, and I’m sure he will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Spindle.”
