The Bahamas Comes to Life in Vibrant and Energetic Tourism Film

Los Angeles post production company Therapy Studios brings its one-of- a-kind touch to the launch of Atlantis, Paradise Island's shared mission coalition to nurture a Bahamian cultural and entrepreneurial renaissance. Crafted by shared mission creative agency enso, the launch debuts with the cinematic centrepiece film 'Come to Life.'

Directed by Per-Hampus Stalhandske out of New York-based production company Variable, the film achieves the formidable task of capturing the spirited, artistic heart of the Bahamas in just 60 seconds.

Doobie White, Therapy editor and partner, cut the film with a fluidity that conveys the serenity below the water and the vibrant Bahamian culture living above. Each passing frame reveals yet another surprise, comprising a montage of sight and sound that encapsulates the feeling of a Bahamian renaissance.

Lead Flame Artist/partner Wren Waters and Flame Artist Rachel Moorer contributed to the film’s finishing, bringing depth and texture to the stunningly detailed landscapes and elements. By illuminating tiny granules of sand and the splatter of paint, their breathtaking VFX work blends the real with the hyper-real, adding to the film’s overall immersive quality.

Jeffrey Poitier, a native Bahamian actor, director and the nephew of legendary Bahamian icon Sidney Poitier, did the voiceover for the film. Sam Spiegel of Squeak E Clean produced the music, showcasing local talent from the Roots Junkanoo Group and Bahamian Voices.

“Come to Life” kicks off a shared mission coalition between the resort and enso to develop an impact platform for the people and culture of The Bahamas, and for Bahamian makers to share their works with the world. A longer-form film will be released later this month.
