The Immortal Awards has confirmed that The Lift, the Mexican production service specialists, is returning as the LATAM jury partner for the 2024 competition.
The extended partnership will see this year’s Immortal Awards LATAM jury day take place in Mexico City for the second consecutive year on Tuesday 12th November.
Last year’s jury selected six projects to qualify for the final, global round of judging as LATAM Finalists with two of those projects - NotMilk’s We Didn’t Write This Campaign from MRM Chile and Makro Colombia’s Life Extending Stickers from Grey Colombia - picking up Commendations and featuring on the 2023 winners reel.
Avelino Rodriguez, founder of The Lift, says, “The Immortal Awards free-to-enter accessibility leads to a diversity of projects showcased, which I loved, with the opportunity to see the best of what Latin America and the world has to offer. It was illuminating to see the distinct voices of the advertising hubs in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina, with different approaches and visions for each project. It’s often difficult to choose one project to represent the region with all this variety, but that’s what the debate in the jury room is for!”
Emma Wilkie, awards director of The Immortal Awards, adds, “Bringing the LATAM jury together in Mexico City for the first time last year was a huge success with industry leaders from across the region convening to discuss the best groundbreaking fresh ideas. I’m absolutely delighted that our partnership with The Lift is continuing this year and with their support we can again bring together an exceptional group of creatives in a special environment to identify and amplify creative excellence from across Latin America.”
Avelino Rodriguez also comments, “Hosting the jury is extremely special, and last year so many well-respected and talented judges from the creative industries in Latin America gathered in The Lift’s offices. It was an incredible moment of community in the advertising world, and I can’t wait for this year.”
