BAFTA-Nominated animation studio, The Line, promotes Laura Breaden to managing director for commercials and branded content, and founding partner, James Duveen as managing director / EP for games and original content.
Laura is an Emmy nominated executive producer with over 15 years experience spanning live action, mixed media, stop motion, 2D and 3D animation. Laura, who has previously held senior roles at Nexus Studios and Passion Pictures, joined The Line 18 months ago as executive producer and has spearheaded major partnerships for agencies and AAA game studios alike:
"The past 18 months have been hugely rewarding at The Line and I’m proud to have worked in partnership with some amazing clients including 4Creative, Tencent Studios and Blizzard Entertainment. The Line’s commitment to outstanding work, at the highest level, is truly inspiring and continues to attract highly creative briefs which keep us at the top of our game. I’m excited to be part of the next chapter, working closely with the co-founders”
Co-founder James Duveen will also take on a new role as MD for games and original content. After a decade working on the Commercial side of the business James will oversee and lead the strategic vision for the Originals department with an array of exciting IP’s currently slated including a car based adventure game and an animated action-adventure show:
"Having a dedicated Originals department has always been the plan since we started The Line 11 years ago. I’m excited to now give our IP my full time focus and we’re thrilled that the commercial side is being looked after so well by Laura."
The restructure comes after a run of awards for The Line Commercials this year, including eight British Arrows, nine D&AD Pencils and four Clios for their work on Channel 4 idents. Recent launches include an epic two minute trailer for a new Tencent game IP, Battle Aces, and numerous collaborations with Blizzard’s Overwatch2.
