THINKHOUSE has launched a new campaign to promote Cruinniú na nÓg 2024, an initiative of Creative Ireland, supported by RTÉ. Cruinniú na nÓg is Ireland's national day of free creativity for children and young people, set to take place on Saturday, June 15th. This year's campaign, titled "Dare to Create", is a celebration of youthful creativity and innovation.
Cruinniú na nÓg has already captured worldwide attention with the release of ‘The Spark,’ a rap video created as the official anthem of the event that quickly earned the title of ‘Song of the Summer.’ Created by Rhyme Island, a youth rap initiative from Cork, the rap video amassed millions of views globally. The young talents collaborated with local producer GMCBeats and The Kabin Studio, a nonprofit dedicated to music and creativity in Cork's Knocknaheeny suburb.
The "Dare to Create" campaign emphasises authentic youth engagement, creative vulnerability, and behind-the-scenes storytelling. It aims to showcase the real, raw process of creativity, resonating with young audiences who value genuine and relatable content, highlighting the courage and resilience of young creatives across Ireland.
The in-house film team at THINKHOUSE produced a dynamic TVC for "Dare to Create," capturing the journey of young creatives overcoming challenges and achieving success. This ad features members of Rhyme Island, amplifying the excitement surrounding ‘The Spark.’
Speaking about the campaign, Laura Costello, head of sustainability & planet services, THINKHOUSE, said, “This year's campaign targets children and young people, particularly those who typically lack access to creative activities, while also engaging parents and guardians. Insights from The Youth Lab (THINKHOUSE’s insights, strategy and planning department) have informed the campaign's focus on addressing creative vulnerability and the anxiety stemming from social comparison culture. "Dare to Create" aims to foster a supportive environment that promotes creative expression and celebrates the courage of young creatives across Ireland.”
The campaign aims to generate substantial social media engagement through inspiring and relatable content, encouraging participation in creative activities, especially among previously disengaged groups. Cruinniú na nÓg 2024, powered by THINKHOUSE’s "Dare to Create" campaign, is set to cultivate a vibrant culture of creativity among Irish youth.
Mark your calendars for June 15th and join us in celebrating the incredible creativity of Ireland's young people!
