For the launch of its new sponsorship of Women’s Cricket, Certa Ireland has teamed up with creative agency Verve|Showrunner to create the first sponsor-led ads to star the national team.
The three 30 second pieces, titled #BreakingBoundaries, focus on Ireland’s false notions about women’s cricket and how this exceptional team continues to challenge and shatter every single one of them. Proving that with the right energy and determination, we can always push forward.
The three spots open with cricket bats and balls bursting through physical symbols of cricket’s past image, all in blissfully satisfying slow motion. We see an old fashioned tea set, an indulgent cake, and a high-tiered tea cake stand exploding from the impact. Voiceovers from three of the team’s star players: Leah Paul, Gaby Lewis, and Captain Laura Delany, break down why these limiting notions about cricket are wrong and why Ireland should get behind this elite team of athletes.
The campaign was created by Verve|Showrunner and produced by Rubberduck, with directors Ben Colwell and Conor Ryan. It launches this week across VOD, digital and social media. Certa will also promote it across its network of 39 forecourts and 22 home heating depots.
