This week, Unlimited hosted a remarkable array of talent as part of its 10,000 Interns Foundation partnership. These interns spent eight weeks immersed across all disciplines within the business. Today, its highlighting insights from those from Nelson Bostock, Health Unlimited, and Walnut. Let's delve into what they shared about their experience.
Unlimited proposed the question: What can you tell us about your time with us?
Within the few weeks of my internship, I have felt the embrace of Walnut's welcoming and family-like culture. The annual 'Nutfest' event, held within my first week, provided a great opportunity for me to experience this in-person, as I was very warmly met by my colleagues across both the London and Winchester offices.
This event, alongside the Brainy Bar conference held for clients the following week, enabled me to quickly immerse myself in market research, as I learned more about all the industry-defining projects that Walnut have been and currently are involved in.
Thanks to Walnut Unlimited, I have gained valuable experience across multiple sectors and research methods. I have already worked on various client projects, and I am incredibly excited to be taking part in an upcoming qualitative field study, which will enable me to develop a new set of research skills.
My internship at Health Unlimited has been educational, challenging, but fun all at the same time. Working between the communications, account management, and studio teams within Health Unlimited, I have been able to learn about all the behind the scenes work that creatives and account managers do to produce everything from a brief to a project for a client. This has been challenging as I never knew about or worked within the healthcare communications industry. So, it was difficult to adjust to all the terminology, regulations, and workload. Despite these challenges, I am very lucky to be a part of two great teams which have supported and pushed me to achieve the best results for ourselves and our clients. Some highlights of my internship include the summer party, Friday drinks, and getting to interact with an amazing team of creatives and forward thinkers. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Health Unlimited and have learned so many skills that will support me throughout my career in marketing and communications.
I have had the privilege of interning with Nelson Bostock for the past eight weeks. Working on the Google Cloud, IOC, Rubrik, and Sophos accounts has provided me with such great insight into PR. Interning at such a busy time for many of these accounts has allowed me to see how fast-paced this industry is, with priorities constantly shifting on a day-to-day basis. I also have had the pleasure of spending some time with the content team, Rejoice, and Kerri to learn about Nelson Bostock’s SEO and marketing strategies and how all these different departments work together. I have gained so much from this experience, and I am grateful to Nelson Bostock and 10,000 Black Interns for this amazing opportunity. A massive thanks to all the teams I have worked with and my manager Tim Brennan for making this experience so great!
