For BMW, the holidays are all about going wherever the mayhem and magic of family takes you. This year Goodby Silverstein & Partners and director Jonny Mass of RSA Films created two spots for BMW’s annual Road Home Sales Event reintroducing the same cast of family members from last winter’s 'Big Red Bow' and this year’s Summer On Sales Event for a delightful duo of holiday adventures.
'Forget Something?' taps into the ever present and hilarious chaos of trying to get the whole family to leave on time for anything - in this case, a holiday ski trip. After all, with two BMWs, ski gear, kids and a pet to wrangle it can be easy to forget something (or someone) important.
'But How?' on the other hand centres around a charming and relatable discussion between mom, dad and their daughter. The young girl’s growing curiosity puts both parents in the hot seat of their BMW as she questions just how the magic of the holidays comes to be.
“Every sales event the family comes back with something new… And this year we have two new things. One to warm the hearts, and another for those who prefer to see the fun in the holidays,” said Marcus Casey, CMO North America at BMW.
“With each new sales event, the joke that we’re creating a BMW cinematic universe becomes a little more real,” said Mason Douglass, senior copywriter, Goodby Silverstein & Partners.
Starting now, BMW plans to run both 'Forget “Something?' and 'But How?' on TV and online.
