As the sun began to set on Friday evening, ITV marked and celebrated the significant moment of the final sunset before Eid began through a powerful and beautiful film playing on the channel. The film celebrated the end of Ramadan and the start of Eid for the Muslim community in the UK.
The film shared a moving message voiced by well-known ITV content creator and YouTuber Chunkz. As we see multiple sunsets appear, the film takes a moment to appreciate and thank all the Muslims that shape our country. From doctors to newsreaders as well as all those in the community that quietly donate millions to charity during Ramadan — an act some of us are unaware of during this period.
This important moment for the Muslim community was also celebrated across OOH by the broadcaster appearing across sites up and down the country which also coincided with the sunset on Friday.
The film and OOH includes an adaptation of ITV’s logo including the crescent of the moon as the dot of the letter ‘i’ to celebrate the beginning of Eid. The logo design was created by Uncommon in collaboration with ITV Creative.
